(Final Pool xx - And Behold xx - Amble In xx)
1990 Bay Thoroughbred Mare 16.2hh
Thoroughbred Mare Family 25
Bred for sport by Sylvan Farm, Neay Bay (aka Sissi) descends from a proven sire and dam-line of high level sporthorse performers and producers. She was a successful in-hand competitor as a young horse, an accomplished hunter and then moved to the jumper ring where she successfully competed up to Level 7 and was moving up to Grand Prix when a severe pasture injury ended her career. Sissi rounds out her impressive resume with 9 foals (and counting) to continue the family tradition.
Sissi's sire is the international Grand Prix and World Cup horse, Final Pool xx. A proven sire of winning hunters, jumpers and dressage horses, Final Pool was one of the few Thoroughbred stallions ever approved for breeding by the NA/WPN and consistently improved upon mares with stamina, speed, durability and boldness. Most notably, he is the sire of the very successful hunters Special Occasion and Showboat, as well as, the hunter stallion Special Event.
Sissi's direct damline has produced several top level competition horses, an approved stallion and premium and/or elite mares. Her dam, Ambling Picture, was the foundation broodmare for Sylvan Farm. Ambling Picture is the dam of Pia Blanca, a top producing mare in the AHS. She is also the grand-dam of the approved Oldenburg stallion, Agincourt, who jumped successfully at the Grand Prix level with Hap Hansen, and the Hanoverian gelding, Far Star, who represented USEF and the American Hanoverian Society in the 5 Year Old Division of the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Jumpers, at Zangersheide, Belgium in 2003.
The success of Ambling Picture as a prepotent progenitor of jumping horses is no wonder as she is linebred to and has three crosses to the stallion Teddy, an extremely important stallion in jumping pedigrees on both sides of the Atlantic. In Ambling Picture's motherline, she has two crosses to the Teddy son, Sir Gallahad III, and in her sire line is Sir Gallahad III's equally, if not more, famous full brother, Bull Dog. These two legendary Teddy sons have left an indelible mark on the sporthorse breeding world as they are all-too-often found in the pedigrees of many of the great international jumping horses.
Continuing on this tradition of exceptional offspring, Sissi had 3 foals for Sylvan Farm, stamping each with her jump, elegance and a "born broke" temperament. Her first daughter, Gemstone (v. Grand Cru), is following in her mother's footsteps for Sylvan Farm by successfully competing in the jumper ring through Level 7 and is now becoming part of their breeding program. Gemstone was also entered into the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program with scores of 9,9 for scope and technique. Sissi's two offspring by Agincourt, Always Pik A Lady and Acero, are also proving themselves successful. Always Pik A Lady has had multiple Champion and High Score awards in Dressage with a Junior/Young Rider and Acero was named a premium colt and recently debuted in the show ring by placing in three of four classes.
In 2007, Sissi presented us with a premium filly by Coconut Grove, named Cayah Bay. Cayah Bay was Reserve Champion Filly of the BWP-NA Tour. In 2008, Sissi graced East Wind Farm with a very correct, elegant and superbly-tempered filly by the KWPN stallion Baron Van Gogh (Burggraaf x Rigoletto x Albatros) named Vesper. Vesper was the 3rd highest scoring Yearling Filly of the BWP-NA Tour in 2009.
In 2010, Sissi wowed us with an elegant bay colt with four white socks and a blaze by the young BWP stallion, Fidelio. As is typical of Sissi offspring, this colt (named Fidelius after his sire) possesses an amazing temperament...friendly (very people oriented), bold and very willing. We are thrilled with the athleticism this young colt is displaying.
In 2011, Sissi gifted us with her ninth foal... a very special colt by the Holsteiner stallion Acodetto (Acorado-Contender-Lord). Accio is a stunning red bay colt stamped with the best qualities of both his sire and dam. And although he is for sale, with his quality and unique pedigree, Accio will be raised as a stallion prospect.
Sissi is approved with the BWP, GOV and AHS.
