Graczi (aka From The Get Go)
(Aslan - Well Selected xx - Fire Dancer xx)
4/25/06 Bay BWP Gelding
Graczi (aka "Czi"), a striking bay sabino colt with blonde tail, is sure to catch everyone's attention. A beautiful face with a large soulful eye, a gorgeous arching neck, perfect coupling with a powerful engine, this young colt incorporates all of the athleticism that we were hoping for from this F1 cross. Czi is an "in your pocket" horse with a loving personality that is easy to work with and sure to amuse. He is bold, confident, eager to learn and loves to spend time with people.
Czi is sired by the BWP stallion, Aslan (Alla'Czar-Columbus-Condino) and is out of the highly regarded, premium-rated Thoroughbred mare, Select Dancer. He combines many of the Thoroughbred and Warmblood legends of the showjumping world in a single pedigree, both in terms of competition and production. He was presented to the BWP and received a premium score.
Czi is a red bay, with a blaze, a pouty white lip, two hind socks and roaning throughout his flanks and barrel.
Congratulations to Lisa C. who has purchased Graczi to be her future hunter and equitation partner.
Update (5/10): A report from Czi's owner after their first show together...
"He was wonderful!!!!! The cliff notes: brave, cute, tried his heart out, never a bad moment,a bit scared, but handled it all like a real champ in the making. I was so proud of him. Jumped everything, and as you will see from the photos, over-jumped...so he was scared and trying too hard. But i was thrilled with him and his can-do attitude. He is such a lovely horse. I think he is my very favorite of all the horses I have had (and there have been lots). Almost afraid to say that, but it is true, he is just a really nice guy.
His canter is beautiful, balanced and relaxed. He has a lovely presence, will be great Equitation/Medal mount for me. Tons of scope over fences. I haven't even tested the waters yet in that department... He's got lots and really not working at it yet, it's very easy for him. I think 3'6" will be a piece of cake. He does have a huge step...Lead changes, he was born with them. They are natural, he gets to the corners, and with the slightest of encouragement, flying change, clean and effortless, relaxed, just natural."
Update (7/28): "Well, as you can see, Graczi has been a STAR. Just took him to Foxfield Summer Show last weekend to "play," give him some miles & experience in the pre-adult, 2'6" division. He was outstanding both days. Won 3 over-fences classes and was division champion, bringing home the Tri-Colored ribbon!!!! Both judges loved him, one even asked how old he was, and couldn't believe he was only 4 and doing so well. He has the best attitude, and although he had some baby moments, mostly out of the ring, he was all business 90% of the time. No lunging, just get on and enjoy. He had a huge fan club by the time the show was over..."
