(Cobra One - Well Selected xx - Fire Dancer xx)
2010 Copper Bay Colt
Corsair (aka Cory) is an eye-catching 2010 colt by the exciting imported Danish Warmblood stallion, Cobra One. "Blinged out" including a blonde skunk tail, Cory is a very strong reflection of his sire in type and conformation. He has athletic gaits with a strong push from behind and good reach through his shoulder.
Corsair's temperament and character is irresistable. Willing, quick to learn and the same in-your-pocket personality of his big half-brother (Graczi), it is near impossible to exit the pasture without giving young Cory a big hug.
His sire, Cobra One, carries the Capitol-Caletto nick that has produced today's showjumping phenoms including Calvaro, Cassini I & II, Dobel's Cento, Cumano, Eurocommerce Berlin and Indoctro among others. He possesses gorgeous type, extreme athleticsim and a kind, generous temperament. Tested in Europe, he received a score of 9.25 for his jumping ability, but still offers the flashy gaits that dressage riders covet. His first foal crop yielded the Reserve Champion Colt of the BWP North American tour in 2009. According to his European Grand Prix rider, Cobra One has international scope and talent, but has the temperament and amateur can ride!
Corsair's dam is our premium Thoroughbred mare, Select Dancer, who has received top scores from European judges because of her warmblood type and her near perfect conformation, including scores of 8 for Breed/Sex type, conformation and overall impression. Her bloodlines are coveted by sporthorse breeders familiar with the Thoroughbred's impact on today's modern warmbloods. She was a winning race horse, a preliminary eventer and then a 2nd level dressage horse before retiring soundly to the breeding shed at the age of 12. Both of her foals to date have been premium and her first foal (Graczi), started under saddle by an amateur, is getting rave reviews for his talent, temperament and trainability and has already collected his first tricolor ribbon at just 4 years of age!
Bred for versatility, Corsair is a serious H/J prospect, but also has the gaits to compete successfully in the dressage court and the bold athleticism to take on a cross country course.
