Chaleur Bay's dam, Cayah Bay, is a daughter and grand-daughter of two of the most acclaimed international Grand Prix Thoroughbred competitors and sport horse sires of modern times, Coconut Grove and Final Pool. Cayah Bay, like her dam before her (Neah Bay), are Thoroughbreds bred purely for sport.
