(Acodetto I - Final Pool xx - And Behold xx)
2011 Bay BWP Colt
Accio (aka Archie) is a stunning colt by Holstein's young phenom producer, Acodetto, and out of our proven producer, Neah Bay. Guaranteed type, jump, gaits and temperament. Jumper folks, Derby folks, Hunter folks... do not miss this one! There are only a few Acodetto's available in the US and and the ones that are here are competing successfully on circuit. Young Accio is the prized combination of exquisite type, athleticism and temperament. A charming and respectful youngster, he picks up his lessons quickly, adores attention and never fails to be the first to greet or the last to say goodbye.
Accio's sire, Acodetto I, is a direct reflection of his internationally succesful sire, Acorado I (link to a short video of Acorado), who was sadly lost too early in life due to an accident. Acodetto wowed Holstein at the stallion licensing in Neumünster with his seemingly limitless ability, coolness and jumping technique. His expression, nobility and gift of three very good basic gaits left the indelible impression of an extraordinary athlete on the crowd. He followed up his Stallion Approval success by winning his 30-day test, with a perfect score of 10 for his jumping ability, a calculated average of 9.88 and an average of 9.44.
Acodetto's first foal crops impressed breeders and the Holsteiner Verband with their superior type and extraordinary movements. And in 2009, Acodetto assured himself the status of coveted sire with the 1-2 punch of the most expensive horse at the spring Auction in Elmshorm combined with the presentation of an extraordinary mare crop. Acodetto has proven to stamp his offspring with his stunning looks, excellent gaits and quality jump.
Bred for sport by Sylvan Farm, Accio's dam, Neah Bay descends from a proven sire and dam-line of high level sporthorse performers and producers. Neah Bay was an accomplished hunter and then moved to the jumper ring where she successfully competed up to Level 7 and was moving up to Grand Prix when a severe pasture injury ended her career. Her sire is the international Grand Prix and World Cup horse, Final Pool xx. A proven producer of both jumpers and dressage horses, Final Pool was one of the few Thoroughbred stallions ever approved for breeding by the NA/WPN. With 9 foals on the ground, we can say with certainty that Neah Bay stamps her offspring with her jump and a born-broke temperament.
Accio's grand-dam, Ambling Picture, is the dam of Pia Blanca, a top producing mare in the AHS. Ambling Picture is also the grand-dam of the approved Oldenburg stallion, Agincourt, who jumped successfully at the Grand Prix level with Hap Hansen and the Hanoverian gelding, Far Star, who represented the USEF and American Hanoverian Society in the 5 Year Old Division of the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Jumpers, at Zangersheide, Belgium in 2003.
With his overall quality, unique combination of bloodlines and the production power of his sport horse dam line, we will be raising Accio as a stallion prospect. However, he can be purchased as either a colt or gelding.
Expected to mature at 16.3h.
Price: $15,000
