In-Utero Sales (more details below)

Our 2010 crop is a mix of hunter, jumper and dressage-bred foals. This marks the first year we have targeted the hunter and dressage markets. Our mare base is extremely versatile and this "step outside" our typical path is with two mares who are proven producers of foals suited for these disciplines. As always, we have included some exciting young stallions whom we are confident will make a strong contribution to American breeding. So, explore and see what choices we have made. In-utero offerings provide buyers an opportunity to purchase their dream foal with a significant cost savings (sometimes as much as 1/3 off the purchase price once the foal is on the ground). And there is no risk. The buyer is guaranteed a healthy, sound, correct foal (see below for further details).

Combine that with the international production power of Blue Hors Romanov and there is no question of the future of this foal in the ring.

In-Utero Pricing Policy:
A small deposit is required to hold the in-utero foal. The remainder of the balance is due with the successful completion of the Foal Wellness Exam at 18-24 hours post-foaling. If the foal should not pass the Wellness Exam, the deposit is either fully refunded or the purchaser can decide to apply it to another foal or horse offered for sale by Avenir Farm.

To give buyer's maximum flexiblity, if a different foal steals your heart, you may switch your in-utero contract to that of an on-the-ground foal if it is available for purchase. We want each buyer to have no regrets about their purchase.

Board, daily care and extensive handling and training is included in the in-utero price through the weaning of the foal (typically 4-5 months of age). Post-weaning boarding options are available.
